Beach Towel Care Guide

Keep It Ready for the Next Swim

A little care can help maintain the appearance and condition of your beach towel throughout repeated trips to the coast or pool.

Before Washing

Shake your towel outdoors whenever possible to remove loose sand and other debris.

Sand can remain trapped between fibres, so allowing the towel to dry and giving it a thorough shake before placing it in the washing machine can help remove excess particles.

Washing

Always prioritise the instructions supplied with your particular towel.

Wash with compatible colours and avoid overloading the washing machine, as textiles need enough space to move freely during the cycle.

Use an appropriate amount of detergent rather than assuming that more detergent produces better results.

After a Day at the Beach

Avoid leaving a wet towel tightly rolled inside a beach bag for an extended period.

When possible, unfold it and allow it to dry properly before storing it.

If the towel has been exposed to seawater, sand, pool water or sunscreen throughout the day, washing it according to its care instructions before prolonged storage can help keep it fresh.

Storage

Make sure your towel is completely dry before folding it away.

Store it somewhere clean and dry until your next trip.
